Mmm... Wow!

I remember when....

When you see that prhase... what do YOU remember? what recollections come back to you? Your 4th birthday? A really fun trip you took with your family when you were a kid? Your first kiss? Getting an A+ on a test that you didn't study at all for the night before? What do you remember? Well if you are like me or most of human kind... there are times when we forget what day it is... We forget the small things... But at the same time... there are moments that we will never forget... Im sure there is a moment in everybodies life where they could tell me exactly what they were thinking, wearing, smelling, tasting, their surroundings, the music that was playing in the background. They can remember everything that happened at one single point in time.

Well one moment i remember... One moment that i will never forget.

September 15th of 2010 was a night that changed my life forever... It turned my world upside down. I went to downtown Ames, Iowa with some friends to go to a street show. But that night i heard and saw something that took my breath away... made my heart stop... That night i was walking on the sidewalk towards a photography shop. and my ears were greeted by a sound. Someone was singing near by. The sound was the most beautiful sound that i have ever heard. Honestly! i actually stopped on the sidewalk and just listened for a few moments, then i kept walking and entered the little shop. The sound was beautiful... i was wondering what the owner would look like... I walked in and there sitting on a small stool, guitar in hand, and singing her little lungs out was the most beautiful women i have ever seen in my life (and yes i will stick by that till the day i die... just saying). She was wearing a long-sleeved grey shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of converse, her hair was curly and pulled back into a pony tail.
It's funny cuz words can't describe how truly beautiful she was and how truly beautiful the sound of her voice was. that's just a side note but i just thought i would add that.
Anyway.. i had two friends with me and they introduced me to her... i really couldn't think of anything to say so i just smiled and nodded. She looked at me smiled back. she started playing again and i became entranced in that sound... no joke. I couldn't think, breathe, my heart stopped with ever word she sang.

ok now you are probably thing. "Wow, You are a hopeless romantic man." Well... i'm not hopeless cuz she is now mine.

That is the memory that always comes to my mind though. It's the night that i met the Girl that turned my world upside down.. i met the girl that makes me the luckiest man alive. It's the night that i met the girl i love with all that is in me.

That's my random memory.. yeah, i could have chosen so many different ones but... honestly that one is the one that is one of the most important memories i have.... i wouldn't be where i am today without that moment.
